How to transfer I tunes collection

Would like to know how to back up my i tunes library in case my computer goes wrong. Some tracks are purchased from the i tunes shop and some are just CD's copied.

Start by selecting FILE > LIBRARY > BACK UP TO DISC and then follow on-screen instructions.

It mentions iTunes 8 but the same procedure applies to the new iTunes 9.
