i am thinking about starting my own mobile shop. do i require another type of driving licence? I passed in 2002 and hold a full UK car licence. it has the catergories: B, B1, f, k & p on the back, but not sure as to what these mean, other than te B which is obviously a car. i\'m assuming a may need to take soe other form of test perhaps?
As said, depends what you want to drive. You can drive anything up to 3.5T MAM(Max Authorised Mass) on a B licence. This covers most vans like Ford Transit size. From 3.5T to 7.5T you need a C1 and over 7.5T you need a C. Also, if you did go over 3.5T, you would need a tachograph fitted. Theres lots more legal 'ins and outs' at http://www.loadsofvans.com/Pages/view/17/It's%20The%20Law
thanks guys. i'm assuming it may be bigger than a transit van as folk would need to get into it. i'm thinking something along the lines of a library van / ambulance size so i'm thiking i may have to take another test :(
