Shampooing your hair...
16 Answers
I shower twice a day, once before work, once after. I am told that shampooing your hair so often is actually worse for your hair. Is this true?! I don't wanna go bald quite so early... :)

China is correct - frequent washing does strip away the sebavious oils that your scalp produces, and can make them go into overdrive, which will make your hair really greasy.
I would suggest washing your hair with shampoo every four days, using a nice mild shampoo - Pears or Johnsons Baby Shampoo are good. You can of course wet and towel your hair every time...

Excess washing will not cause baldness - that is genetically programmed, and will occu,r or no,t depending on the trends in the family. If your dad and grandad on his side went bald, chances are you will too. When and if it happens, go gracefully, get it cropped and forget about it - no-one cares, neither should you.

One good thing about getting older is that hair gets less greasy. I simply couldn't bear to leave my hair lank and washed it every day when I was younger - although hair colour dried it out a bit. Nowadays I can leave my hair for about three days happily, just getting it wet in the shower so I can can blow it dry and try and get rid of the waves!! I only use a very mild body wash and haven't used soap for years and years, even on my hands.
