Error messages (ASUS)

Every time I log on to my computer a message appears saying "ASUS nVidia Series Shell has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience." and asking if I wan t to send a report. This happens eveytime and it's been happening for a while. What do I need to do to stop it amd does it affect my computer's performance?

Does this happen as soon as you log on, or when you try to run a particular game? Has your computer been 'overclocked'? Do you have the latest windows updates? Reinstall the graphics drivers, or download and install the latest ones from the Internet. What graphics adapter do you have?
