AB "memorial service" for Whiffey

Hello AB,

Whiffey's funeral is being held on Tuesday next week at 12:45pm.

My sister and I are finalising the order of service at the moment, and we thought that, here at AB, you might like to open a thread to act as a kind of online service for him at the same time as the actual funeral? A space to share a few happy memories of his antics, say a little prayer for him (optional, atheists will be let off) and spend some time listening to the music that we have chosen for the ceremony (all the tracks are available on YouTube).

The order of service will hopefully be posted here as our family service opens at the crematorium for those that want to take the moment to come together to say goodbye.

Dear Whiffey :o(. He was a firm favourite of mine. Missed a great deal. Nice idea Laura. I am sure you will make his funeral a fitting tribute to him and will be thinking of you on Tuesday.

Will be thinking of your dad come Tuesday, and i send you all my best wishes to you, your sister and all the family.

I'm sure we may have, at one time or another, been in the same place or area, as i too, used to live in your father's neck of the woods and some of the places you mentioned he used to take you on your previous threads, not to mention the chats that your dad and i had on the subject, would point to this.

He is sorely missed by all on here who ever had the pleasure of knowing him and to those who chatted with him too.

Havent spoken for a while.My sentiments are the same as when we spoke.Hope the funeral is a celebration of your dads life and that he gets a good send off.I will post a tune for him via Dris on Tuesdayand I hope that youre managing to get through what is a a very sad and difficult time for you and you and your sister.
