Its good to see you on here....i was thinking the other day i hadnt seen you on here for a while - and i believe you were not too well a while ago ? How are you now, i do hope you are keeping ok? I must apologise if have i got this all wrong!!

Hello Im a BusyBee , lovely to see you , and thank you so much for asking after me . I'm still doing my best to face each day whatever it brings . My speech is now just silly farmyard noises when I try to say something , it's sounding very clear in my mind but just won't come out that way , totally no proper words now. Today new thing is that I can no longer swallow chicken soup , which was a fairly creamy soup . Today it just dos a party trick of coming out again down my nose . ....lol....
I feel a lot stronger though since I have the peg and get all my calories in the formula that goes into the tube .

Oh bless you , I didn't realise you didn't know what I have wrong with me Im a BusyBee , Doris , pericat , and neti sweeties . I am not ever goin to get better , this disease just progressively gets worse , and the time frame varies greatly so I just take every day as it comes . I have ALS/ motor neurone disease . It started in January 2009 , this year , and I was diagnosed with it in March this year . Thank you all for asking after me , so kind xxx

It's always so good to see your cheerful self on here bigmamma. I know I've said it before, but you really are an inspiration to me & lots of others.

You are a very special person & I only wish I could pop in & sit with you for a friendly chat, although I'm sure your family & carers do that too.

We're always her for you....

Hello smudge , lovely to see you as always , yes it would be great if we lived closer and could sit and chat , well I would be using a lightwriter so you could understand me . A few of the carers are nice and chat along nicely , but the one I had this evening shouts and has her eyes closed when she talks , and her hair over her face . She started as soon as she got in the door telling me every part of her that ached , how she would rather be at home , that she's tired out and could fall asleep on my sofa . Huffing and puffing at what few jobs she has to do for me . The morning carer stripped my bed , but I just didn't want tonights carer in my room with clean linen , she also stank of smoke . :-(

Oh Bigmamma if only I could come and help you. I abhore people who close their eyes when talking! and I don't smoke!

Hello again bigmamma & neti - sorry I'm late back, we've just got in from my our daughter's. Yes, it would be nice to be together, to chat & to help you.

It must be awful having people around you, in your own home, who stink of stale cigarettes - you'd think she'd at least suck some mints before visiting! (Like neti, I don't smoke either).
