Asda be a bargain
4 Answers
Excuse the pun but have you tried the 2 Indian meals for £4 from Asda, they are a bargain,
We tried them today, for our £4 we got a container (quite full) of Chicken Tikka Massala and one of Chicken Korma, 2 trays of Pilau Rice, 2 mini naan bread (but they are a decent size) and 2 savoury things which I forget the name of.
When we got home, there was so much that we split all the dishes up and put them into the fridge so that we can have another meal tomorrow.
I reckon if you can get 4 decent meals for £4 it takes some beating.
By the way, they taste delicious.

i dont think the ready meals in the bag taste near as good as the counter and that goes for the Chinese as well -yummy.
Glad you all enjoyed !

M&S are doing something similar(in the Indian meal range)
For £6.99
you choose from
Main Course~5 kinds
Stir Fry Veg~ 5 kinds
Sauce ~6 kinds
Rice ~3 kinds.
You can mux and match,so you could have limitless possibilities.
We chose King Prawns
Mixed veg,a sort of Korma Sauce, and Pilau Rice.
Not only that, but the whole thing cooks in one (large) pan,and only took about 10 minutes from start to finish.
Above all it was really delicious.

I have tried the indian bagged up meals from Asda a few years ago and must admit I was impressed with the quality and quantity for the price we paid (about £5.99 at the time). I have not tried them recently but that does sound extremely cheap and agree that does take some beating! At the moment if I buy an indian from the supermarket I have been buying the Bombay Brasserie range from Sainsburys, at £10 for a boxed meal for 2 it is not cheap but definately a cut above the usual supermarket quality!
