Good morning everyone - I'm either very early or rather late, I can't make up my mind !!! As usual, it takes me a couple of weeks to work out whether I'm coming or going with daylight saving so bear with me, please.

This week's matches threw up one very unusual one - so much so that I very much doubted there would be a taker - just as well I'm not a betting person[!] I'd have put rather a lot on this one, but surprises do happen, now and then !!!

The matches were -

Spice Berry
Echo Chamber
Occasional Table [ !! ?? ]
Reserve Price

Needless to say, Echo Chamber was pretty popular and Reserve Price had quite a few takers, Spice Berry had two hits, from lysander and Strix, but you could have knocked me down with a feather when right at the last, ladyh came through with "that table"plus two other correct matches and shot straight to the top of the Leader Board for this month with 6 points !!! How does she do it ??

So at this early stage the Leader Board stands thus -

6 points - ladyh

3 points - lysander, Elspeth, london_lassy, kettledrum, Magyar, joto and cpfcrosiel

1 point - 24 entries

So not a bad start despite the tricky ones, - Congratulations to all the points scorers, have a good week everyone, and I'll see you here, same time [I think !!] same place, next Saturday - but in the mean time, I think I'll just go back to bed...I've lost something and I think it's called sleep !!! cheers, Steff

Ok, no smart comments, you lot !!! I'll get it right next week.
Hi Seekerz,

In my youth, many moons ago, the expression 'occasional table' for a small table such as a coffee table was very common in England, but I haven't heard it used in a long time.

Well done ladyh for thinking of it and the other two matches - no joy for me, I'm afraid.
Steff, have your clocks gone forward already? I thought you changed the same time as us, it always used to be the same weekend. If you have already changed, then you have it all to do again in a couple of weeks when ours go back. I just wish they'd leave the blooming things alone. :-/

Hi Jools, yes ours went forward Saturday night, they keep playing around with the start date, which does nothing for me.....I think they've got some bright idea about bringing SA into line with the eastern states which means we'd have to go forward half an hour - their excuse is " business difficulties because of the time diff." which is a load of rubbish !!! How do they think the USA copes !!!

How was Turkey ??? Did I see they had floods in some areas - I hope you weren't affected, and that time with the family was great.
