Download from camera to PC
4 Answers
For some reason or other I am unable to download pictures from my Olympus camera to my PC. I have had no trouble with it in the past it has just automatically downloaded as soon as I cannect the camera to the PC. I have tried just putting the memory car in the port in the front of the PC but although the green light comes on nothing appears on the screen and no pictures download. I have Windows Vista which is not compatible with my Camedia Master Suite. I have tried to update but without success so at the moment I cannot download pictures onto Camedia Master or Windows. I would be grateful if somebody could tell me what I'm doing wrong. Please help.

However you shouldn't expect anything to happen automatically. Go to 'Computer' and double-click on the icon for your media card. That will display the contents of the card. (In practice you might just see a folder at this stage. If so, double-click on the folder icon. If you see another folder icon, double-click on that as well. Eventually you'll see a list of, or thumbnails of, your images).
Once you've got a window containing your images displayed on the screen you can move them in the same way as any other files. (e.g. go to Edit and choose 'Select all'. Then click-and-drag the files to your 'My Pictures' folder).
