Roar with this breaking sound barrier? It's hairy. S_D_B_RN. It must be SIDEBURN but I can't see why?

I'm not sure, either, but this might help. Military jet planes have an "after burner" in their engine tail pipes. This burns fuel in a way that gives the plane an extra thrust, and can help the plane to break the sound barrier. This after burner is in the tail, however, and not especially on the side of anything. I suppose if the engines are to the side, rather than at the rear, they might have "sideburners".
