where do i stand ???

long story guys but heregoes ill try and make it simple and short - me and hubby split after 7 years brought our flat from the council cheap and have to live there for 7 years unless we sell b4 and repay sum of the didcount which at the moment is 15k we have 12 months left then we freww to sell we have been buying for 4 years now . after 2 weeks hes met sumone else and stated on his social website the very popular one hes now in a relationship with this girl so we were going in the bank today to see sumone about remortgaging the hwole value of the flat and him paying me off . everyone says to me sit tight for 12 months then sell and both walk away and start again ...... why shud he buy me out for his new gf to move in maybe eventually into what used to be our home i have no where to go i have to start a fresh too but im not going to the bank today ive cancelled it . you guys can you give me any advice or what my rights rae i cant afford to see a solicitor i know i can have a hour free sumwhere ???? thank you

If you wait another 12 months, what will you do then? He might still want to keep the flat and as long as he pays you your fair share, I can't see the problem with this. Yes, it was once your home but you have seperated now and need to find somewhere else. If you do wait 12 months, are you on speaking terms or would remaining in the flat together cause problems? If he pays you off then you will hopefully have enough money to get somewhere else where you can start afresh.
