call my son 'baby'
I use "Babe"

Mind you with some people I mean the pig.....
Generally I use 'sweetie,' 'love' or 'honey.'' I do use 'babe' or 'baby' as well but I tend to only do that with people I know quite well and feel particularly friendly with. Oh, and 'dude' all the time to my male friends... As well as a few not quite so plesant names.
My 12 year old son gets called 'pudding' much to his chagrin.lol
My fiance calls me fatbum..i'm a size 8-10 so he thinks it is funny to call me the opposite of what I actually am.
a girl friend of mine calls me "goat faced bast**d"
i don't even look like a goat
I call the missus "bird".Although I find it funny,im not sure she does.

Bleugh, "love" is not a term of endearment to me it is patronising.
