Bidding on Ebay
5 Answers
I'm bidding for something on ebay and in the bid history I see "Bidder 1", "Bidder n" etc, I seem to be the only one with a proper user name. I looked up "Bidder 4" for example and there is no such user id. So is there some sort of anonimous bidding system? I can find no mention of it in the help etc, anyone know?

I think this was introduced to stop fraud - people being offered second chances and the person offering was a completely different seller.
If the item is under £100 it is because the seller has chosen for bidders to remain anonymous but details are shown to you as detailed above.
Hope that makes sense!!
