There is a short but interesting history of Nipper the HMV dog on http://www.danbbs.dk/~erikoest/nipper.htm Well, I guess as a dog's biography goes, it's quite long! The dog is reputed to have been buried in Kingston upon Thames when it died, and when I lived there about 20 years ago I read somewhere that its resting place is now the forecourt of a garage.
