WinAvi Video Capture (again)
Help!! I've just been told by ZJMedia that they are no longer upgrading this programme, so I'm stuck with this one which doesn't capture audio - ( I'm transferring VHS tapes to PC via a USB device). Does anyone out there have a fully working version of this programme? Many thanks.

Thanks vascop, I have tried quite a few capture progs, but WinAvi was the best for video quality and the output was already converted to videoTS - shame about the audio. I had a look at, and downloaded dscaler, but I'm afraid it's way over my head. Opened the install folder and didn't recognize anything in it. A bit too techie for me, but thanks anyway, Liz.
Firstly what device are you using to download to your hard drive.
Once on the hard drive are you able to play the files via media player, realplayer etc and do you get sound and video.
You may need to download a codec pack to get the sound - something like this :-

If you still cant get the sound to play maybe try another application such as DVD Flick to process the files
