How can we move vagrants from our door?
18 Answers
Well they have now taken to sitting on our door step every night, sometimes one, two, three, last night four with food, begging hat, beer (in a no alochol zone). When the two community officers went by as we were all leaving, I asked them why can't them move them from the door as we have to manouver through them. They said the police took one pissistent user to court but the magistrate said it was not in the public interest for them to be moved. Well I beg to differ!! How can that be??.
The copper said that one chap spends it on drugs as well as booze and yet people still keep giving them money? Why? Is there nothing we can do to move them from our door, which opens out on to the high street of all places!!! Whatever we do, i.e. put bleach or anything down, they just come along and urinate on it. We tried talking to them sensibly but one girl got very mouthy. Any sensible suggestions please?

Sprinkle on some plain white sugar on the spot, not too much for them to notice but just enough to get the place to get progressively sticky. It will make the place very uncomfortable and eventually attract ants. They will move on without ever knowing why.
Just remember only a bit at a time but every day and be polite even if it is killing you.

Well, thanks for these ideas, I personally like the O'Donnell music Bobbi! The Ants, not so good, dog much, nah!
Troube is we have guide dogs coming in as well and we don't want to hurt them above anything. Whatever grim thing we put down there, has a reflection on us and our visitors, mainly who are blind. We did try asking one to whack em with his cane but you have to be careful these days what you say..! David B, I take what you're saying and we are still polite even though we are seathing. As we are a charity, we did think of dressing up as tramps and putting ourselves down there, seeing as though we actually have to pay for a licence to collect money but these "things" can do it for free, but we did think of doing it ourselves so to speak but nobody wanted to volunteer! Des OConnor sounds good though .
