I think that would be the calcium in the bones Mrs, very good for the dog.
But a begger to pick up when they've done it, it just crumbles up

(apologies if you're eating)
lol BOO - I've just eaten thanks!

We once tried to draw on the pavement with what we thought was chalky stone - then Mum informed us it was actually white dog poo! ;o\

Bet you gave up chalking on the pavement after that, as long as you did not lick it before u started chalking yuk

thank you all for your comments. First time for me at this. Glad to know I am not doing her any harm. Crumble is the word.
My sister had a dog where the chalky stuff turned hard within their intestine, I don't know if it was the individual dog or whether it was the breed of dog. Horribly painful for the dog, they took it to the emergency room, where the vet extracted a farily large concrete ball. Told her to never give the dog uncooked or cooked bones.
