My youngest - 12 - was invited to a party for a friends birthday - sleepover from 4 yesterday, swimming this afternoon and back to girls house after. I didn't allow her to go to sleepover as I don't trust the fathers supervision - child is spoilt and allowed do whatever - mother alcoholic and not living there - so she is going to swimming etc this afternoon. I was asked could I help with lifts from swimming back to theirs and I said I would. Last night my daughter rang her friend to check times etc and was rudely told 'I can't talk am watching movie and we might not be doing anything now' - this morning all their phones are off - I have sent text to the father asking for details. People are so rude and ignorant. They don't live in same area as us either so cars are needed
Thanks zzxxee - time for the party has come and gone - no text returned from the dad and his phone is still switched off. My little one is happy she never went. She has learnt a lesson about how parents can be right sometimes. You know when they are just on the brink if being a teen and you can spot the ones who will be trouble for a while - well this is one situation - although who knows what mine will be like ?
