In Australia what is the name for a long narrow lake,
I think it may be billabong but can anyone please confirm.

So, it could be a long narrow lake; from Aboriginal words billa = creek and bong = dead. Imortalized in Waltzing Matilda as where the jolly swagman camped... (Source: Australian Explorer)
