Been a customer of British Gas for the last 21 years. Always had a 3 star plus service plan and now includes all plumbing cover.
Pay £300 per year for this cover.
First time I called them out in 7 years and the engineer says ...oh your rads are full of sludge and it will cost you £680 to have them flushed out !!!!!!!
Then I read small print ....
They will do a power flush and this is warranted for life and want to sell me a large magnet for £200 thats sits on the pipe and stops it happening again .....
So all those years I have paid for this cover and at the end of the day , it's full of small print , that lists every thing under the sun , that your not covered for ......

As Dixiegal says its a bloody liberty. However being quite a fan of BBC1's THE ONE SHOW I now realise the best way to get any consumer problem resolved is to get it on this TV show.Day after day, week after week the programme highlights problems the public have and always the same result, it says 'After being conntacted by 'THE ONE SHOW' the offending company has agreed to drop investigations. Isn't it amaxing the power of national exposure................

I find it hard to stomach , that you pay for the so called British Gas cover for years , you pay £300 per year for complete cover , boiler , tanks , rads and plumbing and then when you have an issue ...oh sorry sir that's not covered. Be warned and remember when they try to sell you this cover on the phone or by mail shot ....
I called British Gas today and you just end up speaking to some call centre bod ...who has a fixed set of things they can say ...complete rubbish ...
