is there any way i can find out if my ex partner has gone bankrupt. as she has left me with a load of debt. which she says as she is bankrupt she is not responsible.i have been seperated fot 5 months. and she has just given me a load of letters.for non payment of bills which i had not been aware of.

got all info i needed. she was declared bankrupt 3weeks ago i only got the letters of debt of her last week.seems like she was hanging on to them till she was cleared and left me in the sh-t.once again many thanks for your help.

If the bills are in her name then she is responsible for paying them (bankrupt or not). If they are in your name, then irrespective of who ran them up, then they are your responsibility.
