What sort of unit is mmbtu?
BTU+ British thermal units its not American but they are keen on it.

Whilst the last answer may indeed be so, it makes rather less sense than the original question. If one is going to convert anything, the various terms need to be equivalent.

The first term is obviously cost ($ to £), so that's OK, but it sure is impossible to convert the second one, a unit of heat output, into a unit of mass.
Indeed. It's like asking how do you converts pints into centimetres?
Of course, you can convert energy to mass using e = mc^2.....
Only if your name is DinnerJacket and you happen to be the president of an oil-rich country bent on developing a large bomb.
