ive just read in the mirror the price of the euromillions lottery is going up to £2 from £1-50 in november.Thats an increase of 33%,and suprise suprise,its not going up in the rest of europe,why?

I would imagine that the fact that the £ is worth 33% less against the Euro may be a factor!! And this one can be blamed directly on the Government.

Consequences of the weak pound (£).

When the price was set for a Euro lottery ticket, a € was about 65p. Today it is nearer 91p. Which means the £ buys less than it did. We will pay more for the same thing.

If the £ improves, you can bet the Euro ticket does not go down again.
