CRB check shows 21yr old conviction help

hi i have recently had my avanced CRB check returned, showing my juvenile convictions 4 burglary & theft - non dwelling. i was 16 at the time & am now 37. and have never had a conviction or even a telling off since!. i fear this will cost me my job. also my convictions are not in my name even tho i dont deny doing them. they have got my middle name wrong on my convictions. i feel 21 years is long enough. many thanks for anyhelp

you did the crimes and now they return to haunt you,i know its a long time a go,but any enhanced check will show up any convictions you have ever had,there is nothing you can do about it,you cant get them removed,but they will be spent by now,so point this out if needed to whoever.

thanks norman. i did however get them removed. i got intouch with the data protection officer in carlisle. writing a letter saying i wanted them removed & have had a letter back, confirming they have now been removed. i did this because 2 of the lads i had done the crimes with had both had advanced crb checks done. and theres came back showing no record. 1 working in a carehome the other a drug n alchol councelor

hi - can you please let me know if you approached Carlisle as thats where the conviction was based or was it for another reason. I have a 24 year old conditional discharge that is sat on my file and am now possibly going to receive disciplinary action about due to non declaration but when I offended I was told that if I didnt reoffend it would be deleted from file at 18.
