deleting sent messages

can anyone tell me why" sent " messages are not deleting after the date they should. also when I send , the message comes up "sent " 24th oct date it will be deleted 24th oct. there are several now not deleted after 1 month. have I done something wrong please?

Yes, you've omitted to mention what e-mail client you are referring to :-)

is this Outlook Expess, Hotmail or what? You should be able to delete them yourself one way or another.

it is outlook express. according to helpline you cannot delete messages yourself. do you know if there is anyway I can do it

Yes, click on the message you want to delete to highlight it, then either click on the Delete logo at the top of the screen (a big red cross) or just hit the Delete key on your keyboard. You can delete more than one at a time if you want, or the whole lot (Control+a will highlight them all).

PS, that's how it works on my computer; I can't guarantee that everyone's is the same.

Of course you can delete them yourself. I would rather do this than have them automatically deleted.

What the original poster forgot to mention is that these messages are on the ebay website and not Outlook express at all.
