the boxes of indoor fireworks you used to be able to buy? If you do could you tell me what they used to contain. A bit of a trip down memory lane here .Thanks .Brenda.

yeah we had those when i was younger they emitted a hell of a lot of smoke and came out like long poo (sorry the only way i could describe them) really bad let down!!!!!

Bangers, Roman candles, Rockets, Catherine Wheels, Jumping Jacks. And sometimes others that i can't quite remember. It depended on the size of box really ( or how much your dad was prepared to spend ).

The only ones I can think of are Sparklers.

As a child I hated fireworks - my Dad would buy a big box for £5.00 (late 1960's) and he would stand in the garden letting them off while I watched from the window.

I remember them! I remember the 'cats tails' one (which did look like a long poo!) and I think there was one that sparkled and changed colour (vaguely remember it being called something like green witch??)?

I'm pretty sure I saw them for sale recently, somewhere like Hawkins Bazarre or similar for about £10.

never heard of indoor fireworks.the only firework we had indoors was sparklers.

Yes we had some in the 60's.

Little things. Lots of smelly smoke.

Probably contained dangerous fumes.

That might explain a lot.
