I think a few more details on what telly it is and what it is u are asking exactly? Cos the answer to your question is YES, i do know that televisions often have a volume displayed on the screen and YES it is operated by a button and YES it is handy.

If you mean the one on your computer screen - go to control panel - sounds and audio devices - on the tab there's a check box for Place Volume Icon in Task Bar.

ooops , yes i meant for a pc , but this is different from placing volume control in task bar- because the control button(like alarge radio button) is actually on screen by default - so no right clicking is required - so it is far more handy- but what is the name?
