clothes smell of white spirit

i have recently decoreated and i spillt a bottle of white spirit on the floor which i then wiped clean with a towel i then washed it in the washing machine as i didnt know wot else to do now my washing machine stinks of white spirit, is there any way i can get rid of this smell out of my washing machine.

I've done this too. Run the washing machine on a long hottish setting empty but using detergent (I use those ariel sachets) It took about 4 washes to sort it

put a cloth SOAKED in either lavender or eucylptus oil (whichever you prefer your clothes to smell of) in and BOIL wash.
