Never -but I would encourage the many more people who are entitled to claim everything they should.Despite the propaganda many billions of pounds is left unclaimed due to ignorance and fear.It costs more money trying to combat fraud than is gained by recovery and only serves to put genuine people off.Fraudsters will find a way around the system of course it is wrong but the waste of money in encouraging people to spy on each other and see people on benefits as rats is equally wrong.
I agree that anyone raking it in should be exposed, we`ve seen mayors and town councillors etc doing it. But what is not made clear is how hard it can be to get what you are entitled to, I have spent 3 months trying for a litle help as I am physically disabled and visually impaaired and the replies have been laughable ( ie I do no think you have trouble seeing in unfamiliar places !!) my tenacity has paid off to a point and have been awardred lowest rate but was hard work it will help towards my winter bills I hope
My wife is disabled and as you say it is continuous relentless work both getting and retaining what you are entitled to and yes at times you think your'e going mad dealing with "experts" who know less than you and work under the assumption that you are trying to defraud them(protecting public monies-ie making it as hard as possible and securing their own positions) all this while facing constant propaganda about benefit fraud WE ARE ENTITLED TO IT it is not charity somebody else's monies we have paid for this Regards Mamyalynne
Yes I would, if we could get rid of all the dodgers then maybe the people who genuinely need it could get a decent amount to live on. I am also sick of seeing benefits being used to buy fags, booze and lottery tickets and running about in taxis everywhere. Maybe if they had to earn the money they would think more about what they are spending it on.
