Housecall 6.6 & Panda Security
Has anyone used these Products and would they recommend them ?
The reason I ask is that although I have the Free version of Avira installed on my PC it will not do a Scan as it jams and causes my PC to freeze. I have uninstalled and re-installed Avira without success, and also E-Mailed Avira about the problem but because it is the Free version their Tech Team do not want to know.
Scanning my PC with Malwarebytes and Adaware is not a problem, but I would like to do a Full Virus Check with a safe product. Would there be a conflict with Avira if I used something else. I have tried AVG and Avast in the past but they are not really compatible with by Windows Vista Home Basic.
Any suggestions welcome.

It also installs a firewall so if you have another firewall installed you will need to uninstall that first.

Hi Chuck 'IT God & Lord of the Cyber Wave' Fickens !
Thanks for that piece of advice. Is it possible to install Comodo without its Firewall as I have Windows Defender which I would like to keep if possible.
Would like to try Comodo instead of Avira but what problems would I encounter with Windows Defender and its Updates ?
Thanks

Windows Defender is a anti spyware program, not a firewall.
If you are using the windows firewall then the comodo one is far far better, the windows one is only a inbound firewall and doesn't filter outbound traffic.
As It happens the first link I gave is for just the AV program, with no firewall, the correct link to the full free security suite including firewall is here
