Hamster Query

i have a syrian hamster, and at the moment i use sawdust as her cage base, but this is getting everywhere, can anyone suggest what else i can use in her cage, that won't be as messy. TIAx

I wouldn't use sawdust anyway as it can cause eye irritation. I use to use wood shavings when the kids had hamsters. You can buy it dust free from any decent petshop.

I use news paper first then a dusting of wood shavings.

I use ripped up newspaper and "fluffy stuff" bought from the petshop for my hamster's bedding. Though I do occasionally use normal cotton wool as well.
