Pisa airport

I'm booked onto a flight into Pisa airport and staying in Florence. There's a transair bus which connects the two apparently but I can't find any timetable. Can somebody help me out? I'm debating whether it's better going in by train but with no bus timetable I can't decide!

I don't know about Transair but there is a Terravision service, timetable at http://www.terravisio..._price_timetable.html I haven't taken the bus but the train isn't great, even on the fast service it's about 90 minutes

According to the official Pisa Airport website, the only bus service to Florence is that operated by Terravision. (It might actually be the Transair service you've been told about. Terravision don't own most (if any) of the coaches that they use. Their services are provided by local companies, with some coaches in 'Terravision' livery but with others sometimes showing the name of the local operator).

Last time I went I wanted to get the train but the drivers were on strike so I was bundled onto a Terravision coach instead. The service was very frequent, well run, the coach was comfortable and the ticket was cheap. Many many people fly to Pisa then go on to Florence so the buses and trains are very frequent.

Thank you that's exactly what I needed. Had I been told Terravision I might have been able to find it myself! The bus will get into Florence 30 minutes before the train so worth paying the extra maybe and I won't be struggling onto a train with luggage. Any other information about getting around Florence would be great.

Florence is very walkable, and like most places in Europe has good affordable public transport - try this link for info:

There is also a citybus tour which to be honest is a bit boring, but takes you through the hills on the western side of the river. However you can just as easily walk through the Bobol gardens to get to the same viewpoints.

thank you lilo'lady for that info. Yes, Florence is walkable I hear but as we're going in February so could have cold, wet weather understanding the public transport might help on some days... especially on the west side.
