Less Fireworks ? Thank goodness.
6 Answers
Has anyone noticed there seem to be far fewer fireworks this year. They used to be going off all week from Halloween. At least we seem to have something to thank Gordon Brown and the recession for -- and our animals can relax.

Lol smurfchops, said more or less the same on Bobbi's thread regarding animals.
I loved Bommy night as a kid (who didn't?) but now im an old crotchety miserable old boot, i can't ruddy stand them. We make the effort and take Mini Boo to one every year, but I struggle to raise an "oooo" and an "ahhhhh" after 10 minutes of them.

I was saying the same thing to my daughters tonight. We used to have loads of fireworks going off around here well before halloween, right up to Guy Fawkes night, but not this year! Mind you there will be some more local displays on Saturday.
Our cat Milly's been sitting quite relaxed on my lap & desk, so it's good for the animals.

some dogs in my neighbourhood were going crazy in their garden earlier, i felt sad for them as they seemed very loud and barking like mad and the owners were having fireworks in the same garden.....wanted to report them, but dont know who to report them to thats cruel making them watch in the garden when you can see they are scared to death
