Digital Switchover
3 Answers
I have an integrated Freeview TV and a separate Freeview box as well. On retuning both yesterday, due to the digital switchover, I have lost BBC1, BBC2 and BBC3 on both of them. Has this happened to anyone else and how did you solve it. I rang the helpline and they give me some numbers to put in on a manual retune, but its not worked. Help please.
Hope this is in the right section.

Go into Menu facility and access 'Setup' and do a Full Re-Scan. If you previously were able to receive the Freeview Channels there is no reason why you should not get them now.
Winter Hill has 70 Relay Transmitters so you may be receiving your signal from one of them. They were changing at different times yesterday so have another go at Scanning.

A slightly stronger signal is needed for 'locking onto' a station, when tuning, than it is for day-to-day viewing. Your aerial is only of borderline quality when it comes to its ability to receive certain digital stations. Signal strengths at your aerial aren't constant; there was a strong enough signal for 'locking on ' when you first tuned the devices but not now. Add a cheap signal booster and you'll almost certainly fix the problem. (if not you'll have to upgrade your aerial system).
