Poppy wearing 2

Sorry but for some reason i cannot post an answer - I was told that the green leaf bit is supposed to point to 11 for obvious reason

Borne in mind.... out to get my poppy immediately and will wear it on my right hand side, leaf to 11 o'clock.

Lonnie, when was the leaf added?
I don't seem to remember it being there as a boy.

Definitely no leaf years ago. Is it supposed to be an oak leaf, for valour ( because it certainly isn't much like a poppy leaf) ?

Scots Poppies have no leaf, I wear the non-Scots version but I always remove the leaf. I have often wondered how much would be saved in time and money by not adding the leaf.
