Thanks Spare ED. I have been registered on AB since about 2003 and the facilities I found useful previously were:
Number of posts each contributor has posted.
Email notification when question is first answered (without having to go in a second time to click the subscribe box which is not there when the question is first posed).
I don't know if it's because I have a new computer but I am at present unable to look back over more than a couple of pages of Q&A on any subject.

Oh and when a question was originally posed, the site used to give a list of Q&A on similar or related subjects to save the samq question being raised multiple times.
