My full name and other details have been splashed across another website!
I was a member of an internet forum site other than this (it was a dating/social site)
One of the moderators who I met 3 times at social gatherings was a bully and tried to get us to gang up on someone. When me and a group of friends refused she banned us, which wasn't a problem.
Anyway we found a site that was set up to complain about the first one (as any complaints made to the first sites admins were either ignored or resulted in you getting banned!).
A thread has been running on there for some time and I have joined in, however all my posts have been fact based, reasonable, well constructed and thought out. I haven't made any accusations or name called or sworn etc (mainly just questioned things said or clarified things I have said).
In effect I have written nothing that I am ashamed of or would not be prepared to repeat, or to show here if people were interested (which I am sure you're not!).
Today I logged on to find that the original bully has posted my full name and what she thinks are the details of my employer (which are wrong) and suggested that people may like to report me to my employers!!!!!
I am more than happy to show my employers what I have written (as I said I have written nothing that I cannot back up or feel ashamed of).
I am though furious that someone has posted my personal details and threatened my lively hood on an internet forum where anyone could access it.
Does anyone have any advice?

"Can you post a link to the dating site?
Are there many women there looking to pull?"
LOL! It isn't worth it mate! The moderators there are all on power trips looking for any reason to ban people and censoring anything. I made a great bunch of friends from it in my locality, all of whom I still have, but as far as dates go it was slim pickin's lol!

Mizzy, in view of what I am asking I wouldn't feel comfortable posting the site link.
However here is a clue:
When a relationship ends friends often say "dont worry there are ************ in the sea".
Hope that helps, but it isn't that kind of site really. They do have the option to select that you are looking for what they call Intimate encounter, but most people ignore or block peopl looking for that.
I only ever had that I was looking for friends on there and it served it's purpose for that, but a lot of the people on there are the wrong side of sane lol!
Luckily I am a good kind of crazy ha ha!

type the name of the website here to find out who owns it. Threaten the site owners with legal proceedings if your demands are not met.

Assuming you gave your details to the original site, did you agree in their T&C to your details being passed on to third party or interested sites.
If you have, then unfortunately there's not really a lot you can do, other than reporting them to the site owners, however, if you didn't agree to your details being passed on, then the person (s) involved are in breach of data protection laws.
Personally, I would write to them and tell them you intend to bring charges for breach of data laws, whether you do or not is a different matter, but hopefully it will be enough to prevent any further postings.
