Is there a difference between aliquot and multiple.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Well, an aliquot is a proper divisor of an integer, e.g. 2 is an aliquot of 6, whereas a multiple is the product of an integer, as in 6 is a multiple of 2. So they're linked, but (sort of) opposites.
(as an aside, in laboratory based science an aliquot is a small amount of any liquid. This may mean splitting a large amount into many equals maller amounts, or just taking a small sample or a larger volume. The result is an aliquot (or aliquots)).
