toenail turned black

i wore too-tight trainers and one of my toenails turned black. Will it return to normal colour & if so after how long?

Yes....after it has fallen off.......toenail that is......not toe.

I did exactly the same a few years ago and both my big toe nails went black. They both eventually fell off and regrew as normal, took a couple of months if I remember rightly.

My big toenail on my left foot is on its 3rd incarnation, the message here is to never let them grow too long!!
