The Bowen Technique?
3 Answers
Has anyone had any experience of the Bowen Technique? I am having trouble with the back of my neck, the muscles go into spasm and it swells up at the very top of my spine and affects my eye sight. I've had an xray and there's no bone damage, and I have PK's from the doc and have tried quite a lot of other things from the doc, with one in particular I felt no pain but I didn't feel much else either apart from dog tired. He also offered me acupuncture but I don't fancy this. Anyway I've read about Bowen and it seems to be applying pressure to the affected parts, and I'm wondering whether to give it a go.

I cannot believe the difference one treatment has already made. I've had a bump at the top of my spine where the swelling used to come for years now, by Saturday morning it had gone. My back is now straight, no swelling of my neck & the pain in my knee is gone. He told me to be extra careful during the treatment not to do anything too strenuous or that would make a shock impact on my body, and to drink a lot of water. I also feel the need to stretch a lot. Honestly, I'd forgotten the luxury of lying comfortable in bed and getting up with no aches and pains. Another thing he told me was that I might get an "echo" of the pains I used to have, this is what has happened, for a fleeting moment now and then I feel the ghost of the pain, and then it's gone! For something so subtle this treatment works incredibly fast and well! Thanks for your encouragement to try it.
