Brazilian Blow Dry

Went to the get my hair cut today and the hairdresser was harping on about this wonderful new blow drying process which stops frizz for up to 5 months. It sounds fantastic but I would like to know if anyone has had one of these 'permanent blow drys' at their hairdressers?

Its the reverse of a perm....straightening hair instead of curling. Re-growth would be natural. Much depends on type of hair. Afro/caucasion/asian?

I saw it reviewed on a TV programme recently, they sat in a sauna afterwards and it still didn't frizz!

It does sound good but for about the first 3 days after having it done you cannot put your hair behind your ears, tie it up etc in case you get "bumps" in it!

Urgh - Brazilian as in pubic? Pubic hair wouldn't be proper pubic hair unless it was curly.... ;-)

Salla, NO not pubic, I'm on about the hair on your bonce!

I think the idea sounds great but I'm not sure. I have curly frizzy hair but I don't want it straight, just curly and not frizzy. I can't seem to find a straightforward answer for that, it seems geared up to be from curly to straight. Oh well, will give it a miss for a while and see if I can find out anything else.

I must say the visions I had in my mind when I saw the title had me curious

rockyracoon...if you want soft curls instead of frizz then a soft curl perm on rods would achieve same. Re-growth would need touching up every 2months.
