what jobs give the best sense of satisfaction?

Stuck in an office but i'm not an office person. Want to do something really meaningful and worthwhile? And be responsive to challenges.

What do people out there consider to be the top "job satisfaction" careers/jobs?

The top jobs might not fit your criteria, but apparently people are happiest doing them!

Don't forget that many charities employed salaried staff. You get paid for the job you do, but you may also take home a feeling of having made a difference to somone's life. Mind you, it's likely to be still a lot of office work.

Without knowing your qualifications, abilities, interests and personality, it's difficult to suggest anything suitable for you. (e.g. some people would say that teaching is a really satisfying job but other people just get infuriated by all of the bureaucracy, form-filling and paperwork!).

Your post suggests that something within the 'caring professions' might suit you (e.g. nursing) but there are many more ideas on the Learn Direct site.

Look at the Charities job section in the Guardian- surely lots of worthwhile and fulfilling jobs there!

try the police, nursing, fire service, I have a friend who is an undertaker and say`s it`s the most satisfying job he`s had
