kitten has gas

hiya

this is a disgusting one and i aplologise but have to aska s its driving us nuts...

we have a kitten who has terrible gas, we have fed her as the vet suggested fish flavoured whiskas kitten food as its meant to be light on her stomach however this hasnt worked and out place stinks

anyone else have/had this problem?
how can i help her stop this?

Has she been regularly wormed. Until they are about 6 months they need worming every month.

Yes ummmm, because they are usually born with worms from their mother.

Brian was wormed before we got him but hasn't been done since. I don't think he has worms though.

Hi again ummmm. This says 4 months, but our vet said 6. It's for roundworms (which you can't see in faeces like tapeworms)

she is an indoors cat and has been wormed monthly at the vets

Try her with chicken mixed with a little rice for a few days and see if her tummy settles. Don't keep her on it for too long as it doesn't have all the nutrients she will need. Avoid milk at all costs!!

Try a dried kitten food from Hills or Eukanuba rather than the supermarket brands.

she is currently having purina kitten/indoor cat food and is having 3-4 meals a day depends on how bored of the favour she is lol

will try the rice and chicken thing though
