This new version will allow you to access the internet quicker than before. How does it do this? What are the drawbacks as you would think certain important tasks are not being carried out?

It could easily mean that Internet Explorer launches faster on Windows 7 than it does on Vista, which is not beyond the realm of possibility given the optimisation of code in the new OS.
I've found that Windows 7, in my own experience, seems to have much better native support for wireless connections as well, so you could argue that it might find and allow you to join wireless networks faster, and thus your accessing the internet is similarly sped up.
