Hollywood has realised that animation that appeals to adults is a must today. So it was a little surprising to see the recent film " Madagascar " put in very few chuckles just for the adults . There were a few slotted in to the scene where the lemurs were panicking in the plane - especially liked the "Cookbook " joke ,referencing an old episode " To Serve Humans " of the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits ( can never remember which )
On the plus side was the wildly over the top accent from Sacha Baron Cohen . Some of the Slapstick jokes were quite funny .
I know these are made for the school holidays but did anyone else find it less adult friendly than , say , Shrek 2 or the Incredibles ?

Definitley not as funny as a few recent ones but still had a few really good laughs!
On a serious note tho, I was very surprised to hear the lemur call the animals Pansies. Myself and 3 other gay men who I went to see it with all laughed of course cuz it was funny, but it's not exactly PC to use the word pansy as a derogatory term in a childrens film.
