Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button in the same team. What do you think?

Two British drivers, two World Champions, in a British team (now McLaren have bought Mercedes out).

I'm not so sure.

McLaren will always favour Hamilton, even if they state 'equal driver status'. From Button's point of view it makes sense: he gets the wage he feels he deserves as Driver World Champion and hopefully a better car - BrawnGP seemed to go backwards in the second half of this season whereas McLaren Mercedes (as was) improved strongly.

Having said that, Mercedes - now free of McLaren (apart from engine supply) - have now bought the Brawn GP team. It's obvious they want an all German driver line up (they have signed Nico Rosberg already) and didn't actually want Button to stay anyway.
Have McLaren bought out Mercedes? I know Mercedes have just bought the Brawn team.

daffy... McLaren have bought out Mercedes share of McLaren Mercedes. Mercedes will still supply engines to McLaren.
Thanks for clearing that up snags.
And I'd be willing to bet that there were plenty of interesting backhanders in that deal, as there always is in motorsport!

As a side note, I love the fact that Kimi has decided to take a year out of F1 and go rallying... but still gets millions from Ferrari!
Is it not a bit risky to have a rival team suppyling your engines ?
Vulcan
No more risky than McLaren providing technology for other teams .

There is a rumour that Schumi is being approached , to return to F1
I hope he agrees - I would love to see him taking on the likes of Hamilton / Button / Vitell - so long as he promises not to do silly things like parking his car on the racing line going into a tunnel .

I agree - Mercedes wants am all german line up - hence Button had to look elsewhere .

''hence Button had to look elsewhere''

And let's face it, there are worse places to end up than McLaren.

Ross Brawn pocketed 40m from the Mercedes take over. Nice. He can afford a razor now.
schumacher is too old, I would imagine with the current performance of ferrari he would not be as competative which would tarnish his "legend" status
I disagree - I think Schumacher would still be competitive .

As for Ross Brawn - Double Diffusers , what a Godsend .
I wonder what team is going to steal a march on the others next season , with another advantage giving item

The 'no refuelling' next season could play in to the hands of a smoother driver such as Button rather than Hamilton...
you are joking berti, schumacher couldnt even deliver a decent testing time when massa was injured, then he came up with his cack excuse about his shoulder injury instead of being shown up on the track as massa's replacement
He's retired!

Ferrari are very good at turning rumour into publicity!
