Failed to install security update xp KB956744

I have just got an asus eepc which is absolutely brilliant. The problem is with a single update item from microsoft. I have been doing a number of updates from ms with no problems except this one: 'security update for windows xp (KB956744)'. I tried to solve it using windows recommended solution (as when you click on the 'failed' icon in update history, but it has not worked. Can anyone help with this please.

Have you tried switching off your machine. Then switch on and try again.

Thanks Rollo, I have done this several times, but it still appears and then fails to install

sometimes it could b your antivirus sotware being too sensitive or even your firewall thas preventing winows to install the updates.

Thanks Whitebear, I have allowed it in kaspersky, and even before this, there were several similar security updates which were installed ok. Maybe after a while it will just not appear.
