she will grow out of this it wont last forever!!!!!!!
can you talk to your health visitor who maybe able to give you advice on a bedtime routine such as
some outside freshair playtime
tea
a warm bath
cuddletime/maybe soothing music a bit little for stories just yet x
calmly put her down leave the room
if she cries go in reasure her then leave the room leaving longergaps whem you return
try it for a few nights but resist tempation to pick her up
try leaving her with a friend for an hour in the day so you can have 40 winks for yourself
you need your rest to xx
I think the reason she is waking up is because she is going to sleep with a bottle of milk and so she wakes up and wants another to go back to sleep. Also she has you to give it to her so she wakes up to be with you. As you say at 11mths she doesnt need any milk in the night so first thing is to stop giving her any. It might be easier to get rid of the bottles completely and use a beaker for her milk in the day, as it is less like a comfort thing. Have a lovely bedtime routine giving her milk as the first part not last. She might cry for the bottle and you do have to be strong and not give in, it will be hard for you but worth it for more sleep! Maybe stay with her and sing to her, stroke her back to comfort her. She might not wake in the night but if she does just do the same, if the crying is really bad you could offer her water in a beaker. When she can settle without milk you will then need to get her to fall asleep on her own and in the same place she'll be all night, so when she wakes in the night she will not be anxious about being somewhere else and will settle herself back to sleep. Eventually she will settle with no problem and hopefully not wake in the night. I think being clingy is separation anxiety, apparently normal at this age, my daughter had this a bit around 9/10mths but seems fine now (she's 13mths) just reassure her and not worry too much. Babies can sense their mums worries so try not to too much, hard i know! Good luck.
