what's the best/quickest/most effective/most humane/tidiest/cheapest way to get rid of the moles that have recently appeared under my lawn.

You can buy mole traps, don't know how humane they are though, they look lethal to me and I'm a bit bigger than a mole!

yeah, i used to use them on the farm when i was a kid, and i could still get hold of some from my sis. i just wondered if there were any better methods these days...

I've heard that childrens windmills in the mole runs will create vibrations that the moles don't like so they leave.
