Is it possible to buy a DVD of the stage performance? I can only find concert recordings.

I am sorry to be a wet blanket,but what hillwalker is looking for is the STAGE production of Les Mis,not the Concert version;the only one that is avaialble on DVD at the moment.
As far as I can see from Googling,there is no DVD of the stage performance,or a film of Les Mis.

The 10th anniversary concert DVD contains a few still pictures of the original stage version, but that's all. I think a special edition of that concert DVD contains a Making Of The Stage Show programme, but that was made in the late 80s. So the answer to your question is NO, but there is talk of a movie of the Les Mis musical finally being made soon.

Although the 10th anniversary concert boasts a dream cast, it has Lea Salonga hopelessly miscast as Eponine. The original and best Eponine, Frances Ruffelle, was tragically left out altogether for reasons only Cameron Mackintosh could explain.

Thank you everyone for your interest and helpfulness. I did find plenty available of the concert performance but, as stated, was hoping to find a stage performance on dvd. It would appear that it doesn't exist so at least I can stop looking!
